How to insulate walls with voids

According to journalists ProfiDom.com.ua, the domestic company Elit-Plast, a manufacturer of penoplasting Penoboard (Penobord), has developed a common thermal insulation system with XPS slabs, which is ideal for regions with severe weather conditions, such as rainy and windy coastal or sunny and hot southern.

In the first case, the thermal insulation of the walls protects from the cold, in the second – from the heat, while maintaining a comfortable temperature inside the buildings.

According to construction standards, the internal wall of the building must withstand the static loads of the roof, ceiling and wind forces. The thickness of the walls of a two-storey building is on average 24 cm and 17.5 cm in the places where the service pipes can be installed.

In the cavernous walls, moisture can penetrate the insulation layer both inside and outside the building: in the form of water penetrating through open gutters, or vapors. The Penoboard material provides low thermal conductivity and water permeability, creating a durable and resistant to deformation layer of thermal insulation.
