We produce wooden shelves for pantry
At times, it’s just amazing that you are able to keep caring masters in this small room: it can be both food and countless preserves, small household appliances, and a variety of economic tools, etc. Therefore, the first thing that is characterized by a good treasure is the capacity. And if at the same time things will occupy little space and manage to avoid confusion, it will be alright.
This will be achieved by racking – a frame with shelves from the floor and ceiling. Thanks to this design it allows to save free space of the living space, conceals unnecessary things and, when properly positioned, makes it possible to quickly find the necessary.
The racks of wood are optimal for the pantry, because this material is well-kept, safe, environmentally friendly and has a beautiful appearance, and with skillful outfit, it is not afraid of blue, fungus and moisture. And it’s much easier to make such a rack than metal or plastic.
The appearance of the shelf is limited to your imagination, but when designing it, you should take into account the size of the items that will be stored on the shelves and their total weight. Therefore, things are expedient to measure and leave between them gaps of 5-10 cm, necessary for installation and removal from shelves. In addition, you should not forget about the rational distribution of the load. The heaviest and most dangerous items are on the lower shelves, medium in weight and size – in medium and voluminous, but light things – on the upper. It is necessary to consider also such a moment: if the storehouse preserves preservation, then the best material for the shelves will be a solid board about 30 mm thick, and the racks should not be pushed forward more than 50-60 cm.
For the simplest wooden shelving, we need to cut the bars of the appropriate size for racks and crossovers and a shelf from a solid board. Next, we will grind all the details of the future racking to apply on them the VIDARON PROTECTIVE-DECORATIVE IMPRESSION TM, which will protect the shelf from fungi, blueness and insects and will provide an elegant matte finish, which will emphasize the natural drawing of the layers of wood.
Before impregnate application, the wood should be smooth, dry and cleaned of dirt, so the surface of the parts of the rack is sanded with a grainy paper of about 150-200. Grinding always in the direction of the fibers of wood, otherwise there may be scratches. If the wood is fresh, we apply the first layer with the necessarily colorless impregnate, which will act as a protective first coat.
So we leave the impregnated parts for drying for 24 hours, and then we conduct interlayer grinding with sandpaper of grain size 320, clean it from dust and evenly apply the entire surface with a brush. PROTECTIVE-DECORATIVE IMPRESSION TM VIDARON in color (available 16 shades of the product for any taste), Carefully rubbing it in wood. Approximately 10 minutes after application, dry the brush along the wood fibers to avoid excess. The next, finish, layer of color impregnat is applied after 12 hours, preliminary repeating the interlayer grinding and clearing the surface of the dust, and still rub with a dry brush. The last layer of the material should be applied to the leveling of the absorbing properties of the wood.
It is important to remember that impregnation must be performed on each side of the racking parts in order to prevent the leaving of the untreated wood surface.
After a complete drying of the impregnate, you can proceed to mount the rack: the bars for racks and cross ties are connected to the support frame by means of a hammer and nails or a screwdriver and screws. We fix it with metal plates to the walls of the pantry, so we mount in the frame of the shelf and fix them with screws. And here our rack is ready for operation.
